MOW-TS: Be perfect as Jesus & the Father are Perfect (Bro Ben Bassey)
Ministry Of the Word(MOW) : True Spirituality (TS)
Word for Today: Be perfect as Jesus & the Father are Perfect.
Memory Verse
“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” ( Matthew 5:48).
Dearly Beloved in the Lord,
We bless God for the day the LORD has made (Psalm 118:24). A day of PERFECTION.
Jesus Christ is a living example of a perfect man who ever lived. Let’s emulate Him. Whenever you are challenged, remember Jesus. When it seems you don’t know what to do, remember Jesus. How would Jesus react in such situation? Jesus always knew what to do in every situation (John 6:6). Perfection is an individual responsibility.
In Christ Jesus, our God is perfect and He expects His children to walk with Him in perfection. Many Christians are unable to pay attention to details. They treat mistakes and errors lightlyl and even make jokes out of it. A single mistake may lead to the premature death of a person. The truth is that no man can be perfect by his own strength, works or POWER, but the Holy Spirit of God accomplishes perfection . When God called Abraham, he was directed to pay attention to details and be perfect:
“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect” (Genesis 17:1).
In Christ Jesus our God does not compromise on perfection. He only gives perfect gifts to His children:
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” ( James 1:17).
As we study the word of God, please learn to pay attention to details and be diligent. All the blessings of Deuteronomy 28:1-14, requires diligence and perfection. A single error could deprive you of life or God’s blessings.
Stay connected to JESUS, the Word. No one can live LIFE to the fullest without CONNECTING to Jesus. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life( John 14:6).
Have a blessed new week, filled with the Holy Spirit.
Be compassionate , kind and honour one another above yourself (Romans 12:10).
Be merciful to each other (Matthew 5:7)
Love one another increasingly (1Cor 13:4-8, NIV).
Prayer Point
Dear Father, we pray for everyone sincerely connected to your Word, that they may experience perfection through your word and that men may see their good works in Christ Jesus and glorify your holy name, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
Blood of Jesus! Blood of Jesus!
