Quench Not the Holy Spirit’s Fire!
Memory Verse:
” I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire” ( Matthew 3:11).
Beloved,
If you are a born again Christian, always ensure the Fire in the word of God is constantly burning in you.
Bquench the Spirit’s fire ( 1Thess 5:19).
There is FIRE in the word:
Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? (Jer 23:29).
One thing that is clearly lacking in the body of Christ(the church), today is the fire component of the Holy Ghost baptism. In our memory verse, John the Baptist explained Unlike his (John’s) baptism, the baptism of Jesus Christ will be that of the Holy Ghost and with fire.
I have explained a few times in my true spirituality messages that without empowerment of the Holy Spirit, practical Christianity will be difficult. It will be difficult to
“present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” (Romans 12:1).
The more you meditate on the Word, the more the fire burns. Once you are on fire for the Lord, you are able to keep the devil and his agents at a distance. Nothing will b able to torment your life anymore.
We know from the Scriptures that the words of God are spirit (Jn 6:63) and fire ( Jeremiah 5:14).
Believe me, the more you sincerely spend time with the Word, the more the fire burns. In Christ, God hates lukewarmness. He tells us this much in the Book of Revelation:
“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth” (Rev 3:16).
This will never be your position in Jesus name.
Be zealous for Christ henceforth.
Receive increasing spiritual understanding in Jesus name. Amen.
