MOW-Do You Feel Like Giving Up? (Pastor Raphael)

MIND OF GOD (MOG)*

Text:1Corinthians 15:58

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)

Beloved, the New International Version quotes the opening scripture as, “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” Beloved, when you become born again, you will have a desire to work for God (Acts 9:6). Take advantage of this desire and work for Him; you can work in the church or in society for God. In the church, you can work as a counselor, usher, chorister, teacher, etc. In society, you can work as a helper, politician, evangelist, etc.

Beloved, there are times when, for some reason, you may feel like giving up on the work that God has assigned to you. Such a feeling is not from God but from the evil one, to discourage you and stop the good work you are doing for the LORD. Stand firm in the Word of God and let nothing move you, because the moment you stop doing the work of God, you lose the reward that God has prepared for you (Hebrews 11:6). Therefore, abound the more in His work and daily encourage yourself with the Word of God, and one day your reward will come. Your work for the LORD will never be in vain. Praise the LORD! Be an overcomer!

*PRAYER POINTS*
My faithful Father, thank You for the words of encouragement. Indeed, the work I’m doing for You will never be in vain. I asked for more grace to keep doing Your work. Help me delight myself in You till I embrace my reward in Jesus’ name. Amen!
