Theme: You are an Extension of Christ!

Memory Verse: ‘I am the vine, ye are the branches..'(John 15:5).

Beloved

If you are truly born again, then you are a physical extension of Jesus Christ here on earth.  You are never alone.  You are inseparable from Christ. Your thoughts, words, and deeds should be  expressions of Jesus Christ working through you. This explains why our Lord added in our memory verse : Without me ye can do nothing(John 15:5).

Within the body of Christ (the Church), it is not uncommon to SEE those professing to be born again Christians, thinking, speaking, and acting in IGNORANCE , without being conscious of their connection & position in Christ.

Apostle Paul explains it this way: For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building( 1 Cor 3:9). Revelation 1:6 says Christ has made us kings and priests  into God the Father.  In my few years of close walk with the Lord, I have often wondered why many people are eager to “preach” the gospel to others,  but when you look closely, there is no evidence that Christ has been formed in their hearts ( Gal 4:19). Again apostle Paul explains: Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men (2 Cor 3:2). He ask: Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (1 Cor 3:16)
Brethren, without verbally preaching the gospel, or writing about the gospel, can people SEE the words of God in your THOUGHTS, SPEECH & DEEDS? Can people see truth, honesty, transparency, integrity, sincerity, righteousness, holiness, love etc in your life?

The kingdom of God is within you ( Luke 17:21). Prove to people that you are CONNECTED to Christ. Prove to people that any one who has SEEN you, has SEEN Christ (Col 1:27; John 14:9). Let your life bring glory to Christ in ALL areas.

Jesus Himself assures us that if we remain fully connected to Him, we would do the works He did on earth and  even greater works. He says:
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12).

Apostle Paul speaking through the Holy Spirit tells us that God’s plan is to manifest every true believer as Jesus here on earth: “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God” (Rom 8:19).

Prayer: Receive the grace to be increasingly conscious of your CONNECTION with the Word of God in Jesus name. Amen.
Yours in the Christ.  Bro Ben Bassey, Iyobosa, & the MOW family
