MOW:TS – Speak the Word into your future! (Bro Ben Bassey)
Theme: Speak the Word into your future!
Memory Verse: But speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed (Matt 8:8).
Beloved
You did not become a Christian by your own strength, you have been empowered to become the son of God.
Therefore, make the best use of your faith. As powerful as God is, he needs his words to carry out his works: He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20). Again, the Psalmist noted: He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow (Psalm 147:18).
In our memory verse above, JESUS, the Son of God, spoke the word of God and the Centurion servant was healed at that very moment: And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour (Matt 8:13).
In Christ Jesus every believer has been recreated in the image and likeness of God, to function as god on earth. As revealed by the Psalmist: I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High(Psalm 82:6). Hence, apostle John writing through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit corroborated: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12).
As Jesus himself revealed, no one can believe in him except his Father draws the person. He says: No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day (John 6:44). Let praise God the Father for drawing us to Jesus out of grace!
Unfortunately, on account of spiritual ignorance, many believers in the church allow themselves to be defeated so easily by their enemies. The word of God says, in faith God speaks the things that be not as if they were: God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were (Romans 4:17). No wonder prophet Joel says: let the weak say, I am strong (Joel 3:10). So, in faith, let him who is poor, say ”I am rich”. Indeed, in Christ Jesus, there is no poverty. Hence the scripture says: For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich (2 Corinthians 8:9). This is why spiritual understanding is very important. In the course of my fellowship, I have met many miserable Christians in the church. I mean many who are very negative in thoughts. This ought not to be so. In faith, speak your future into being! Let there be no more murmuring, grumbling and complaining etc. How do you want your future to be? Speak the Word only into your future.
As believers we are commanded to speak the word of God to one another on a daily basis, not only when we are in the church on Sundays: Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19). I often wonder why this scripture is not being daily obeyed.
Why then is the word of God not being spoken daily amongst believers? When the words of God dwell in our hearts richly (Colossian 3:16), then whenever we open our mouths, the word of God will come out, because, according to Jesus: Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh (Matt 12:34).
Brethren, if you have not yet done so, totally surrender your spirit to the Holy Spirit of God, and invite God to fill your heart with his words. Speak the words of God at home, at work, when you sit down, when you stand up, when you are in the bath, when you walking, and when you are driving etc. Speak the Word only!
Speak the Word only and your life will be transformed, and you will become a blessing to many.
To have increasing spiritual knowledge, requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: ”Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).
PRAYER: There is someone reading this message , may you receive the grace to fill your heart with the word of God, and to speak the Word only in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
In the Ministry Of the Word (MOW)-Acts 6:4, we primarily encourage and empower believers to be rich in the words of God: ”let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom”(Col 3:16). The entrance of the WORD is the true source of LIGHT in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another ”in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs”(Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to ”seek first the kingdom of God & his righteousness”(Matt 6:33). Righteousness exalts(Prov 14:34). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from bondage, and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). ”Jesus is the Truth”(John 14:6). The words of God are spirit & are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We create the awareness that Jesus has made all true believers ”kings and priests unto God and his Father”(Rev 1:6). In addition, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers, using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will exalt his holy name (Psalm 46:10). One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve everyone’s spiritual understanding! Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge (Isa 5:13). Please note that the MOW is an initiative and the spiritual arm of Abasi Health Foundation (AHF). AHF is a registered NGO in Nigeria , with the primary objective of empowering all groups of people to optimize their health. It is aimed at encouraging everyone to have increasing awareness of three broad levels of health: Physical, Mental and Spiritual. May God give you the grace of increasing understanding in Jesus Name. Amen. Websites: http//www.ministryoftheword.org; http//www.abasihealthfoundation.org
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.(Jeremiah 15:16).
