MY GOD IS ABLE (Bro Chibueze T Emmanuel)

TITLE: MY GOD IS ABLE

  • Text:“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” Ephesians 3:20

INTRODUCTION: THE LIMITLESS GOD

We live in a world defined by “cannot.” We are told we cannot overcome certain debts, cannot heal from certain diseases, and cannot break free from generational chains. But the Gospel is not a message of human potential; it is a declaration of Divine Ability.

When we say “My God is Able,” we are not expressing a wish or a hope. We are stating a theological fact. We are anchoring our souls in the omnipotence of a Creator who does not know the meaning of the word “impossible.”

  1. HE IS ABLE TO DELIVER (The Power Over Circumstance)

Many of us find ourselves in “fiery furnace” moments. You might feel the heat of the world closing in, but the testimony of the three Hebrew boys remains our anthem today.

  • Daniel 3:17: “If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.”

God is not just able to comfort you in the fire; He is able to pull you out of it. Whether it is the lion’s den or the Red Sea, His hand is never too short to save.

  1. HE IS ABLE TO SUSTAIN (The Power Over Weakness)

Life has a way of draining our reserves. We run out of patience, out of strength, and out of faith. But God’s ability is not dependent on your stamina.

  • 2 Corinthians 9:8: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”
  • Jude 1:24: “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.”

You don’t have to hold onto God by your own strength; He is able to hold onto you. He is the sustainer who keeps your feet from slipping when the ground beneath you shakes.

  1. HE IS ABLE TO SUBDUE (The Power Over the Enemy)

We often overestimate the power of the enemy and underestimate the power of our King. Every addiction, every stronghold, and every mountain must bow to the authority of Christ.

  • Philippians 3:21: “…by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.”

There is no “giant” in your life—be it depression, fear, or lack—that is exempt from the subduing power of God. If He can roll away the stone of a sealed grave, He can roll away the burdens of your heart.

  1. HE IS ABLE TO DO MORE THAN YOU ASK

The beauty of Ephesians 3:20 is the progression of God’s ability.

  • He is able to do what you ask.
  • He is able to do what you think.
  • He is able to do abundantly more.
  • He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all.

Our prayers are often too small. We ask for a cup of water, and He wants to give us a fountain. We ask for a way through, and He wants to give us the land.

CONCLUSION: The Condition of Power

The scripture ends with a vital phrase: “…according to the power that works in us.” God’s “ability” is released through our faith. It is the “Amen” in our hearts that connects our earthly need to His heavenly supply. Stop looking at the magnitude of your problem and start looking at the magnitude of your God.

He is able to save. He is able to heal. He is able to provide. He is able to restore. Whatever you are facing today, place it in the hands of the One who created the stars and knows them by name.
